Responsibilities

As a Safety Manager in Brooklyn NYC, NY, you’ll lead the charge in building a culture where safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. You’ll ensure best practices are implemented, compliance standards are met, and every team member goes home safe each day.

 

 

As a Site Safety and Health Officer, you’ll support safety oversight for a dredging/marine construction project in Brooklyn, NY. Safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily onsite safety oversight in accordance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain written safety logs
  • Review and enforce APPs, AHAs, and site-specific safety procedures
  • Conduct site safety orientations for employees, subcontractors, and visitors
  • Track and follow up on safety deficiencies through resolution
  • Support incident/near-miss investigations and required reporting
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements
  • Participate in pre-work, preparatory, and progress meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience as an SSHO or Safety Professional on USACE, marine, dredging, or heavy civil projects preferred
  • EM 385-1-1 40 Hour required
  • OSHA 30 required
  • First Aid/CPR certification within the last 2 years required
  • Strong working knowledge of APPs, AHAs, daily reporting, and field safety documentation
  • Ability to be onsite full-time for the duration of the project
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Pay Range

$100,000-115,000

Travel | Relocation
